  1. Poll Poll: the official carpet python census

so with all the increased activity in the morelia section, i figured it'd be fun to take a little census on the matter... whether you keep them now or you have no plans to keep carpets, feel free to respond as to why. :)

  2. Poll Poll: Do snakes fart?

I was holding Mr. Snake last night, and he was slithering up and over my finger. This was putting some pressure on his belly, similar to a massage, and when my finger was 3/4 the way down his body, maybe slightly more, I heard a small pop. Did he fart? Or did I participate in snake...

  3. Could this retic handle a small rabit without problems?

Hi guys Was curious if my retic could handle a small rabbit without problems. Sure enough, she gorged on the rabbit however, I was worried coz the lump left on her tummy was HUUUGE. My retic usually handles med. sized rats. The small rabbit I gave her is prolly a bit smaller than a weaned...

  5. Veruca (Stimsoni) outside

My Stimson's Python (Antaresia Stimsoni) Veruca has these amazing eyes, which only photograph well in natural lighting... she will also strike at a camera flash, so I try to avoid that as much as possible. Anyway, she was being all restless today, so I took her outside for some modeling - here are...

  6. Dwarf Bateater

Alright, we all know about Dwarf Burms, HD Burms, Dwarf Tics, and SD Tics, BUT has anyone ever heard of a Dwarf Bateater? Or Half Dwarf? Or SD? Whatever it would be... Has anyone seen one, known of any past "failed" attempts, or know of any one trying this? Thanks!

  7. Stuck shed - do I bother removing it?

James the Stimson's Python had a bad shed last week, and I can't get this one piece off... it appears he got the underside piece stuck in his chin (where their skin "cracks"), and that caused trouble with the rest of it. I managed to get about 95% of the stuck shed off with a rub-down, but I've...

  8. Pythons that stay around 8 feet?

I'm really interested in snakes... And I was wondering what some really sweet and docile snakes that stay around eight feet are? I've always liked big snakes... and I have a ball python now ;) I'm just curious to see which 'big' snakes are the sweetest, but don't get ten feet long. Snakes kind...

  10. I like spots

Back in high school, the only snake in my collection was this female spotted. About a month ago, I picked up a new male. The baby is kind of nuts, but I think he will settle down. I like these animals, they never skip a meal, and are not so big and scary. Even months since the last shed, she is...

  11. MY BP is starting his first shed with me.

He's starting his first shed with me. I noticed as I pulled him out of his habitat that his eyes were milky. His skin has been getting milky for about a week, so he's started getting really skittish. :snake: SO I'm gonna have to be careful that he doesn't bite me:D

  12. Angolan Zina pictures...

Here are a couple more pictures of Zina. She is now a feeding monster ! She would probably eat every other day if I would let her, LOL. I've also handled her more between feedings and she is calm as can be. The only hard part is getting her out, as she didn't like to be "grabbed". She can move...

Don't know if it's a male or female or what I'm going to do with it... but rescued this today. It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Will probably go to a friend of mine in a few days. I wish I could keep it. Yes I know the aquarium is too small but I don't have anywhere else to...

  17. Angolan Python

Hello, Wanted to introduce my Angolan Python female "Zina". Used to keep Ball Pythons and miss them (hence I found this forum) Right now I only have Zina, but thinking about getting back into Ball Pythons. Perhaps 1 or 2. Zina came to me as a very shy snake, not a good eater. She still...
