My male pastel is freaking out!

I have recently started my pairings for the year and introduced my male pastel to one of my females. He had bred her once this season already, he locked and all went smoothly. I gave him a break and fed him. I then paired him with another female, gave him a break and fed him. It was his turn back with the first female mentioned and when I introduced him, he flipped out. It almost looked like they were combating. I quickly seperated them. Why would he do this? It was very interesting, he didn't even want me touching him(when I went to seperated them). Should I try pairing them after another break? How would you approach this? Thanks.

You better check the sexes of both those so called females. Looks like you have a cross dresser in there.

Males will combat and even lock up with each other.

I'd say your first female is actually a boy.

That's what I was going to say, the first "female" you paired him with might not have been female.

Another thing is sometimes when I place males with females they get a little rowdy, almost seems like they are combating but they must just really excited.

Definately make sure the sexes of the snakes your pairing.
    Cheers!

The whole cross-dresser thing crossed my mind. I actually popped her the second I seperated them and I didn't get plugs. When I bought her we popped her also and I seen the glands(I was sold a male as a female once and have since checked twice on anything I have bought). So lets say she is a female, what would be your thoughts?

When I put my male in my females cage this last time she was tail wagging.

THATS about the craziest it ever got to be honest.

I HAVE heard of one snake biting the other. But usually you only hear about stuff like THIS situation where one snake is incorrectly sexed.

    Can you probe "her"?

So, do you suggest I pair them back up?
