    i'm with you on that

but if you like albinos you would be better just saving up and getting an albino
instead of hets or you can pick up a female spider at the hamburg show cheap, i got my 2 there
and since you have a pastel you need a spider

    Re: What would you choose?

I would go with the Spider, just because by the time you raise up your Hets, and calculate the money you spent initially buying them, then housing and feeding them over the next three years till the female is ready for breeding, plus any possible vet bills, you would have paid more than you will if you just save up now and buy an Albino

The only reason I have Poss Het Albinos, is because I bought them from someone simply because they were absolutely gorgeous to me and at the time I was only flea-bitten with the addiction bug They gave me hives and I dove full on into the morph addict world LOL

If you'd only get one spider, then definitely get the het p=air. breeding is probably the most fun aspect of keeping animals.

Personally, I would go with the spider. I love visual morphs, hets just don't do it for me.

    Re: What would you choose?

If your new to breeding I say go with the female spider and then later on get something like a male pastel. First year breeding can make or break a person that really wants to get into hobby breeding. If you breed and get nothing it can be pretty demoralizing and could put you off from the hobby. Co-dom and dom traits can be used your first time to improve your odds of making something other than a normal and keep you energized in the hobby. Growing the snakes to breeder sized and the length of time involved in your first breeding can really test your patience as it is. Getting a whole batch of normal snakes after all the time and investment can be the straw the broke the camels back in the end.

Once you know all the work involved and get a better idea on genetic odds and how cruel the odds gods can be you can start playing with the het recessive morphs.

    Re: What would you choose?

I am voting Spider...If it was albino or spider I would pick albino. But since I am putting a spider up aganist two hets I have to pick spider. My albino and my spider are my two favs out of the balls I own now.
