Buying some rats in New Hampshire

Hey guys I'm setting up my rat racks right now (just some big sterilite tubs with locking lids and a hole cut out for some 1/4" hardware cloth) and I was just wondering if anyone knew of a good place in southern NH or northern Mass to get some live rats? I'd like to find some with some nice colors and buy from somebody who actually knows how to take care of them.
I plan to breed for feeders but also have the breeders as pets in a sense since my girlfriend loves rats that's why we chose rats over mice. They have some rats in the local pet store for $5 but they look dirty and nasty and I would like to try and buy from someplace where they take better care of them. Besides I swore I would never buy an animal from that place again after my ball (that I bought there like an idiot) came with a nice strong case of freakin mites .

Oh P.S. is it legal to ship rats or other rodents? just wondering I think I know the answer though

OH also I would be more than happy to buy juvies from a breeder as I don't plan to start breeding immediately.

Im curious as to why you wantto get so many rats with only one snake? You will be over run! Hope your getting more snakes. That's a good reason!

Lol yeah I'm working on my snake rack right now also and I will be getting some more snakes as soon as I move into my new apartment. I've already got a spider and a pastel on hold! So I just want to be prepared for when we have them. But also my girl wants them as pets. That's why I say we're not going to be breeding right off the bat. The male and the females will be housed seperately for a while til we're ready.

Live Rodents can be shipped but only from airport to airport and in special crates.

Shipping alone will cost you around $80.00

Well I got my ratties from Kara today. We got 2.2 instead of 1.2 or 1.3 just so they guys would have a friend around since we won't be breeding for a while. I'll post some picture soon! She gave us some really cute rats . The smallest male is I guess a fawn and white colored and the other one is mostly white with brown spots and blotches. My female (my girl and I both took one of each sex) has a black face with a white stripe down her forehead and my girlfriends is a little brown with white spots..... so cute and so much fun so far. I felt so bad cuz I squeezed Karas hand (old Army habit, firm handshake is a must) and she has a nasty retic bite with a tooth stuck in her hand. So her first impression of me was just PAIN . I felt so bad. But she still got us some great little rats for an awesome price.
