had the pleasure of a dog in your life that just WANTS to be good, that is just happy with life and absolutely THRILLED that you gave him rules?

We have such a routine with Diamond - she's eight, and she's just idiot proof. She doesn't ask to go potty, she just waits until we take her out, she'd hold it all day if she had to (we try to take her out every two to three hours). She's sooo very smart.

Well, I have a Canine Assistant visiting this weekend, going to work with me tomorrow and going back to CA on Wednesday. I picked him up yesterday, and rarely does a dog charm me as quickly as Teagan has. I love them all, but there's always the 24 hour period of getting to know each other before we really become a team.

Teagan came out to greet me with a tail going a mile a minute, laughing eyes, and an eagerness to please. He had to be the BEST dog to ever give a bath to and dry. He's VERY high energy (he's a lab/golden mix - but typical lab personality), but he's not an obnoxious high energy.

He LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to "get the keys" for me. He just exudes pleased with himself when I tell him "leave it" and he goes "oh - so I can't play with that - check! I'll leave that alone now - thanks for letting me know!"

I swear, I've never met a dog more driven to just please than this dog. Best kisses in the world, he has to be reminded to settle, and seems grateful for that reminder too. Goes to the door when he needs to go potty - is SOOO excited that I understand that's what he needs.

In a word, this dog is going to be an AWESOME service dog. He's truly the total package in all the years I've been associated with Canine Assistants. I hate he's just with me for four days. I may have to ask for him during January training camp.

Awww.... Robin - that just makes me want another dog.

I can feel the love all the way over here. I hope you two enjoy your time together, and that whoever ends up giving him a home will appreciate him as much as you do.

Seriously Christie, next to Diamond - this has to be one of the best dogs. I love his spirit and his energy - and his ability to contain it when asked. He's just an all around awesome dog. Makes me smile - you can't be upset with him around!

It makes me smile too, and I haven't even met him.

Plus that says a TON that he's even close to the awesome Diamond. She's such a sweetie, even if she will do whatever it takes to get that belly rubbed.

My lab mix Kleo is just like that... very eager to please and her mission in life is to find out what you want her to do. Nothing like my husky!!
