Hehe...AWEsome picture! Shows an excellent example of just how "squishy" they can be!
As for the mice...Sheree (Medusa Owl) related an entertaining story once about feeding multiple f/t prey to her bp. Turned out that by the time the first mouse was consumed, the second one waiting to be eaten had cooled off. When she took to re-warming the second item, Gomez ate it right away. Might be worth a shot.
But so long as he's eating at least one of something on a regular basis, I wouldn't be too concerned.

this is a photo of his first time outside... he wasn't too sure about the grass... took him about 10 minutes to lower himself from the bench LOL
i never even thought of that!!!! the heat issue. i am sure NOT enjoying feeding f/t at all!!! ugggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh

Hm.. maybe the live mice overexcited him and his feeding response lasted even after the first one was eaten? I know that with my female, Bella, she will re-assume the striking pose right after she eats her first small rat; after the second, she goes back into her hide. And that is feeding live.
