Shipping question
So I was just wondering… when a package is sent overnight, is the estimated delivery time in the recipients or senders time zone?

You should be asking the carrier that.

I use SYR, and they are excellent about answering questions like that promptly. Whatever shipping label provider you're using should do the same.
SYR advises (demands, kind of) that FedEx not be contacted directly, in large part because when we civilians ship reptiles, we're not actually contracting with FedEx -- we are contracting with SYR (or equivalent provider) who in turn contracts with FedEx. Regular Joes and Janes can't ship live animals via FedEx -- we have to ride on another company's arrangement for doing so.

Delivery time is usually on the receiving end.
It should say something along the lines of what time of the day. They will mean at the final destination.
That said ... I have had multiple reptile shipments go overtime. =_=
You never want to ship on a Thursday or Friday. Ideally you ship Mon, Tues or Wed. There are I think 3 or so main hubs for FedEx in the US? All deliveries will be passed through them. So for 2 of mine.... They were stuck in Tennessee and extra day on the way to me. For one of them, I don't know where he went but I shipped from Cali to Kansas and he was a day late. Poor little guy must of inherited his mother's bad luck as she was one of my late ones.

I'll add that one benefit to asking the label provider is that they're likely to point out relevant things like shipping this week and next week is very ill advised because of the holidays, and probably from leftover delays from the storm.
There are two main FedEx hubs in the US, BTW -- Indy and Memphis. There are a couple regional hubs out west, too.

I'd honestly have to wonder about anyone thinking December to mid January is a great time to ship in the US.
Sure, people are looking for an awesome Holiday present, but I don't like the idea of a snakecicle or crushed lizard as a pet.
And thanks for the info on the hubs Malum! I knew there had to be more than one but oh boy did I expect more than 2. Hahah. That explains a few issues I've had this week with regular packages. Lol.

Re: Shipping question
Thank you all for your help! I did end up finding out from the vendor (Redline Shipping) and it is the destination time zone.
