Some quick photos from cleaning day
I was cleaning the cobras and figured I'd snap some photos of them outside their enclosure, then I snapped a photo with why I rarely bother cleaning the glass doors on my cobras enclosures. Yes, I have a respirator on, and this is because the middle(Hades) and bottom(Athena) sometimes spit if they're caught off guard, so when cleaning the dried venom it basically turns into an aerosol which can cause sensitivity.
Athena:
Hades:
Zeus:
Now here is Zeus still mad:
Here's me with a respirator:
-Venomous-
1.0 - Naja siamensis - Zeus (Black & White Spitting Cobra)
1.0 - Naja n. woodi - Hades (Black Spitting Cobra)
0.1 - Naja nigricollis - Athena (Black-necked Spitting Cobra)
coming at some point in the future
Naja annulata (Ringed Water Cobra)

Now here's what all the glass doors on the cobra enclosures look like, though pictured is Zeus's enclosure.
Now, keep in mind on this photo I literally JUST cleaned all the glass:
ALL OF THEM ARE AGAINST THE GLASS!!!

I mean I did let them soak in a trash can that I use to put them in because it's a food grade and I can see where they are before I open it. So technically they were getting a cleaning/hydration soak lol.

Zeus is especially cool-looking. Glad you're wearing a respirator & not sniffing their dried venom- they sure make a mess of the glass, lol.

Yeah, I don't need to become sensitive being they live in my bedroom, because that would just be a pain to have to move the cages, more so because the shelf system that was built specifically for those cages is hard to disassemble because it's too big to fit through the doors.
Athena at some point will be going to a new home, as her spot is going to be for a water cobra(Naja annulata). She also is going to get like 7-8 foot, so working with her at that size in the room is not something ideal.

I like all-black snakes a lot too, btw...I've just never seen a cobra like Zeus before, I guess. And I can see where working a 7-8' cobra in tight quarters is inviting trouble... (good plan!)

Yeah, Zeus is my calmest, though he can be cage defensive, Hades is just too curious. I cut some video from when I was dealing with them and I'll upload it either in a bit or later, need to figure out how to export it properly.

Here we go. I was putting him in, and he touched the water and didn't like the temp though it was room temp, so he came up really fast. I had to get his tail from gripping the rim of the bin, then I just kind of dumped him in.
