I was worried sick with my female because she was doing the same thing and had not pooped in over three weeks. Low and behold soon as I put new bedding In and bumped humidity up a notch by misting ,bang I got a huge dump. She don’t look bad at all imo she will leave you a nice little treat when she is ready. So long as she is passing unrated and pee in my opinion your alrighty. Snake looks healthy good job💪🏼

Thanks bro, this has been 8 weeks now though so I'm wondering when you start to worry.

I keep her humidity around 75 - 85 these days after speaking with some guys on here. It's easy with eco earth because it feels dry but has crazy humidity. I removed a big wet patch of piss the other day and urates a few days before that. Hopefully if she sheds there'll be a huge dump too ha

Been feeding her once a week and she's been on 'medium' rats that are around 150 - 190 grams. But she hasn't had a dump since 4th April. Urates and liquid piss but no poop.

Her belly looks pink and soft and she's grumpy today so may be going into blue but she only shed last on 3 May which seems really soon.

How long do you wait for a dump before you go to a vet and does she look backed up? Advice on this isn't clear but I bathed her today and massaged. She hates water though.

You should be good. My retic will either poop every week or he holds it for a month. Now mind you I swear he can per every single day.

My ball python can go 3 months with out passing a poop.

Well she finally dropped a very large one after 10 weeks. I was speaking to a guy on FB who said he moved his Burm into a new enclosure and for some reason he didn't have any heating in there for 24 hours. I think that's pretty bad but each to their own.

Anyway, his Burm pooed after having spent a few weeks holding it in. My girl spent the whole night on the cold side before letting one go. She normally stays on the warm side all the time.

Has anyone noticed that their snakes poop when they cool down?

The heat source in my cages very rarely get used. I only have a single piece of 11x24 flexwatt on one side. The rest of the cage sits around 77-80F. And then my snakes still sit on the cool side 90% of the time lol. Only time i really see them on top of the heat tape is when they are shedding. Despite a lot of people saying you need to keep snakes really warm since they are tropical, i have found mine dont really like it that warm.

As for pooping, my BP goes months without pooping, but then again, she goes months without eating too lol. The retic is a poo machine. He poops every 4-5 days, same with the GTP. The boas all poop anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 month.

That's intersting if they all behave the same way. My Burm seems to love sitting on the warm end 90% of the time. She also hates to be in water (no matter the temperature) yet I see so many videos of Burms sitting in water.

It's amazing how each snake has their own personality. So many people say snakes don't have emotions but that's not true.

Whenever I think I have found a Pattern (like my snakes would stay in the cool hide for the 3 weeks shedding process) they would change it up 4 months later hahahha.. They alway went in the Hot Hide after eating while they were young... Not anymore ... So honestly its hard to say if Ive noticed anything that really means anything
I also have one that stays on the Hot Side 18- 20 hours a day (the rest of the time spent playing at night) and the other one is on the cool side 18-20 hrs a day..

I've had numerous colubrids, BP's, boas, carpets....

But Burms are absolutely the most complex of all of them. When I got Dexter I always pictured Burms as being sort of unintelligent, slow, lazy, and somewhat boring. Come to find out, they are the most interesting species I've ever owned. Fearless and masters of doing what they want. I'm hooked.

Dexter still is being a stubborn worm and not cooperating with me in terms of feeding.
