    Re: GTP Enclosures

Looks like a converted china cabinet or something. Some members here have done some nice conversions, but for a species that needs higher humidity a wood-based enclosure wouldn't be my first choice.

As a longtime GTP owner, in order to keep the humidity where you need it, especially for a young snake, anything with wood on the inside (ie the doors) is going to warp, warp, WARP and if it bows outward, your snake will get out and probably die. Wood laminate like that is very unpredictable in high-humidity settings, it could bow, bend, crack, or otherwise create gaps that will not only let out heat and humidity, but let out your snake as well. I would give this one a pass. It looks cool, but is not very functional.

Personally I would get an AP cage. There are others like PVCCages also but I'm partial to Ap cages lol. I don't think I would chance something like that cabinet especially if you are getting a neonate GTP and double especially if its your first one. And also the cost of them. If you are looking at a CBB neonate, you are looking at probably around $600-1000. Although you can get them a lot cheaper I guess from importers like Bushmaster. I personally would want to start with the deck stacked as much in my favor as possible if I got a GTP.
