    Finally got my rats finished!

I just finished my last rack that I'll need till I expand my snake collection.

    I have 3 racks, 7 tubs each, 21 total.

14 breeding groups of 4 females, 22 males, 25 hold back females (and counting)

I haven't setup auto water yet in fear of a leak, so until then I am a slave to the water bottles

    Very nice!!

One 5 gallon bucket and some valves would be a whole lot easier than filling those water bottles every day

some silicon around the valve in your reservoir bucket does wonders preventing leaks. I made my whole too big and had to do it anyway. Once you go with an auto watering system, you'll never look back!

I like the look of yours, I ended up making the gap pretty large in mine so it's six feet tall with only six bins and I wish I could have made it a little shorter.

I use Reptile Basics bulkhead connector and epoxy inside and outside. Zero leaks. 5 racks currently on watering systems with Reptile Basics valves and #6 in process.

Rack looks great! Not an attack so please just take this at face value. 2 adult females and 1 adult male per tub plus 20+ babies at times is quite crowded. In that ratio the tubs are very gross after 1 week. I am a little saddened to think about 5 adults + 4 females worth of babies in a single tub and would encourage you to have heightened awareness of their welfare and adjust your numbers accordingly. Rats are very intelligent and social and do have the ability to feel complex emotions like sadness and depression. Just my opinion respectfully presented without judgement.

    Good luck

Nice setup, I need to put wheels on mine soon.
The water bottles are not that bad, been using them for several years now.

The wheels were just added last week. I've had a few rats make a jail break a few times. After chasing one for over an hour, it was time for mobility.

Also I'm not worried about the bucket leaking, it's the actual valves I've heard stories of.
