I got a ball python today from petsmart (which is totally against everything I believe in!)
he/she (don't know yet) is a very relaxed snake. I have done quite a bit of research before I purchased it. It was my understanding that they would be shy and hide the first week or so while acclimating. When I grabbed the snake out if it's box, it never balled up. It just kinda slithered around my hand and arm "tasting" me. I put it in its tank (which is temporarily a 10 gallon aquarium) and it explored the whole tank before deciding to rest on the cold side. It seemed like it was already "acclimated" or just not picky/stressed about the new environment.
My question is, is the snake ok to be handled immediately , or should I give it a couple days? To me, it seems perfectly content with being handled...
thanks is in advance!!!
