Buying female breeder mice online????
Does anyone know where I can buy LIVE mice online? My local pet store only sells male mice and it's getting expensive to buy live feeders for my three BPs. I have Googled my butt off for the last three days and I can't find anything.

It's illegal to ship live rodents (or most animals- nonvenemous reptiles and poultry are the only exceptions) by any mail carrier service, so the only way to have them shipped would be to fly them via delta in a carrier on a plane and pick them up at the airport. That's obviously insanely expensive for mice.

Well...dang. Where can I buy female mice then?

Beats me. I know in our area people were losing their crap trying to find MALES (all the box petstores in an area seem to only stock one gender to prevent breeding). Check locally owned petshops, and maybe look into making some calls out of your area but within driving distance to see if they stock the girls. You might also try craigslist, just in case somebody out there has one they're willing to let go as foundation breeding stock.
(Also I was not quite complete, before someone corrects me. Amphibians and fish can also be shipped (variably) if I remember right. Mammals are still right out though.)

Re: Buying female breeder mice online????
Craigslist currently has rats near me but no mice. The pet store here has all male rats and mice and hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, etc. The only female rodent they have is a beautiful solid white chinchilla. I have a female mouse and one male but I would like to get a few more females. I am willing to drive just about anywhere at this point. My snakes turn their noses up at frozen mice and ignore the rats and pups I have. The ONLY thing they will eat right now is live mice and I'm seriously tired of spending $20 every week to ten days for male fancy pet mice.

It's not ideal or fast, but if I were you I'd feed the males you can produce off for a bit (maybe hold one or two back), keep the female babies you want and line breed like mad. Keep looking for females meanwhile, but at least you'll have an end in sight instead of being stuck with those food bills indefinitely.

A friend of mine has two male mice. Maybe I can persuade him to let me use them to 'stud' to prevent inbreeding. Anything is better than what I'm doing now.

Wouldn't be a bad idea, though you shouldn't have too many problems anyway. Heck, just use one of those feeders you CAN buy of whatever gender and introduce it to the mix AND use the boy mouse of your friend's as a 'stud' for a generation.
