I hated it as an Iron Man movie. If you have any prior knowledge of what Extremis, the Mandarin, the Iron Patriot, and other Marvel comic book background stuff is, you probably won't like it...If you don't, then it was probably a good movie....

However, I do love RDJ. He *IS* Tony Stark. He is the perfect Tony Stark.

The Avengers was way better than this. However, there was good dialogue and some entertaining scenes.
Overall, If you're a Marvel Fan, you may not like this. And I mean not a MCU fan.

I am a Marvel fan. I know very well who and what Mandarin is in comic land. However, to be honest, his real origin and identity is cheesy as can be and wouldn't really fit well in this movie universe. I really don't mind this take on him. I was upset at first when I saw the trailer because he wasn't Asian. But now I really love it. I mean, could you really have taken green skinned Mandarin seriously in this movie?

I know there are purists out there who hate everything outside the original material. Even in the cartoons they change up the characters and stories so that it's not just a rehash of the comic. For the most part, I enjoy the cartoon and live action stuff better that the original source material.

I really enjoyed IM3. As many have said, RDJ is Tony Stark. No one else can play him better. And seeing him vulnerable and having anxiety attacks and having to deal with everything as Tony Stark made him more human and gave his character so much depth.
