    The hide covers a good part of the UTH, but the ESU thig is only temping the ground temps inside the hide so its turning the light and the UTH on and off all tthe time.............

    Is the probe inside the hide? If it is, there you go. Take it out, and put it somewhere around the outside on the substrate, then you should get proper temps. Hope this helps.

    There is really no need to turn those things on and off like that, thats why you are getting a temp drop like you are. I would suggest to not be turning those things on and off all the time, so you can get your temps more stable. Also, move your probe outside the hide, at ground level. Once you have your ground level temps were they should, the ambient temp should remain fine too.

    ok, I had the probe under the newspaper in the hide rit on the glass bottom..............
    I'll try to move it and see what that does.

    I just don't want to burn my babies!

    I'm not turning the UTH or the light off and on its the ESU thing thats doing it
