Anyone know of any good books for monitor and tegu research? I have a few already but would appreciate a few more titles....thanks!

I noticed your other thread. I think the experienced monitor/tegu people here would agree if the extent of your reptile keeping ends at Ball Pythons for 1 year, these giant lizards would not be a great next step. To start, you should consider whether or not you have the space and funds for an 8 foot x 4 foot x 4 foot enclosure and whether or not you area ready to take on an angry dinosaur if its having a bad day.

Re: Books on tegus and monitors?

slow the roll here.....this thread has nothing to do with my other thread...I am simply interested in learning more about these lizards period. I have no wish or desire to have monitors/tegus as a next pet as I have no experience caring for lizards at all. I simply want to learn more about species of reptiles that I find interesting.

For the record money isnt an issue....when it comes to large lizards space is an issue and the fact that I am moving most likely across the US next year is obviously not a good move for owning large pets of any sort....other then my dogs
