    Weird "crease"?

I've noticed after my BCI shed finally that there are what look like creases in some scales. I also noticed these on some bigger red tails (6ft+) at a friends and am just wandering what it is exactly????

My boa gets creased like that where she is coiled up if she has been lying in the same place for a while. I think it's just like when you sleep in one spot and then get an imprint from the blanket on your face. I can't speak for yours but judging by the picture it looks very similar.

Yeah I notice the creases on my big boa and my ball pythons sometimes if they've been coiled up for a while.

I'm going with the same concept. All my larger boas have the same thing when coiled up tightly for awhile. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I've seen it on my boa too. Usually when I take him out and he has been curled into a corner. I'm sure its just "crinkled" scales.

If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

    Re: Weird "crease"?

This happens to most heavy body snakes when they lay in a position for while; like a hide. It seems I see it happen more often right before a shed. It's really bad in obese snakes, but it's pretty normal.
