What type of incubator do you use?
I'm just starting to get into ackies and have a trio coming tomorrow.
Any tips for care or how to get eggs before the male and or female make lunch of them?
Here's a quick shot of my setup waiting for them:
Showcase 3x2x2. 5" substrate toward rear. 130-135f basking, 80f cool side. Hide on cool side is hidden behind wood and (fake) plants. My intent is to move this trio (and the red trio I've got on order) to 72"x30"x30" by end of summer. I know the Showcase is toooo small.

One thing you may want to try is having a couple of containers of bedding slap full of sand, soil mixture with a hole in the top so they can burrow in. Something the size of a sterilite shoe box container. That way you can move them closer or further from the heat sources to get that sweet spot the female likes to lay in. I have had one clutch laid in a container so far since I have added them and have seen more interest in them over burrowing all the way to bottom of vivarium which is what they used to do in the past. The plus side to this also is it gives you an enclosed container that you can remove quickly without to much disturbance to surrounding cage furniture. I will also warn you that females tend to get nippy towards males after dropping there clutches so be on the watch during this time. I had a female take one of my males toes guarding the area where she thought the eggs were, but I had already removed them. Needless to say I had to remove the male and doctor him up for a a few weeks. I reintroduced them after that with no further recourse.

What size enclosure would I need for a pair of adults? and aside from the female aggression after laying eggs, do they seem to do well together? I love Ackies and would love to get a pair just don't think I have the room right now. I might be looking to you when we move to a bigger place though, since we are in GA too.

I've been thinking about using nest boxes! I just wasn't sure how to do it so that I could 'know' they are laying eggs and not just using it as a hide (you know, without checking all the time). What I'm gathering is that you have to combine all the signs and a little luck and not rely on any one thing.
I think when I have the next enclosures built, I'm going to have them build in a way to use nest boxes. Whether a sliding divider or a separate container, I'm not sure which yet.
I already have a duplicate of the enclosure shown ready right next to this one. I plan to move the male out as soon as I see indications that one of the females is about ready to lay.

other then after egg laying yes they are fine and dandy together with no other squabbles. The size of enclosure in the range of something of around 3 x 2 x 2 foot would be just fine. Keep in touch we will be neck in lil' ackies soon enough
