    I can understand that. It's an angle I haven't thought of before and a downside to them gaining popularity.

    To be honest I feel carpets are easier to keep successfully than a ball python.

    Carpets eat well and require less humidity - so there you having eating and shedding, 2 of the most significant parts of keeping a snake imo, easier to accomplish correctly with a carpet! And I've heard carpets are hardy and require lower temps making them less susceptible to an ri.

    Then there's a morph thing, there are alot of neat carpet morphs popping up. You have caramels, jags of all different colors, zebras, albinos, snowflakes, and granites. People are finally crossing morphs also, i've seen a granite jag and it was beautiful.

    I happen to think the granite carpet python is one of the prettiest snakes out there, and i'm grabbing one on sunday!
