Is that a Leucistic American Alligator or an Albino? I've only seen one other American Alligator with Leucism, so you're lucky if you saw one in person!

    Thanks for sharing the pictures!
I've never been to a zoo.. I think I might have to make a trip soon.

I think it was an albino, not 100% sure though. lol the title of the exhibit was just "ghosts of the bayou"

The alligator at the Dallas Zoo is albino I believe. I haven't seen it but I remember hearing about it when they were setting up the exhibit. Great pics, thank you for sharing!

thanks for sharing the pics! the McGregors viper is pretty awsome! the only thing i have seen about them is this one on kingsnake (http://market.kingsnake.com/detail.p...=103&de=820647). its yellow so i wonder what the actual color of the animal is? like is the one at the zoo a leucy or something?

I'm pretty sure the one at the Dallas Zoo is a Leucistic Alligator. I know the New Orleans Zoo leases out theirs as they have more than a couple. The original Leucies were found in a nest in the middle of the swamp found by a trapper and the zoo picked the entire clutch up after seeing the pics from the trapper.
