As long as your husbandry is fine, keep pairing, just because you are not seeing any locks, it doesn't mean it's not happening. Your fella could be a speedy gonzalez if ya know what I mean. As long as he's eating and on a on 3 off 3 or so pairing schedule keep pairing. Is he a first time breeder?

I had 3 definate locks in early december with all 3 pairs and they are all first time breeders. I believe the husbandry is fine as well I have put in alot of time since this is my first year breeding as I want all to go well. I appreciate you taking the time to give me some advice. It gets a little discouraging not knowing if you are doing everything correctly.

I also just weighed them today and my female that has been eating has put on another 150 g, the other 2 females have put on 11 and 14 g (which I dont understand since they havnt ate since october), my male who has been eating put on 42 g, and the other 2 males have lost 10-14 g. Also I have been putting the males in for 3 or 4 days with 3 or 4 days off every week since october.

Since the females can store sperm I wouldn't sweat it too much, I had a female lay eggs 4.5 months after her last pairing with one of my males

I think it's quite normal for the snakes to mess with our minds... Last year I had a few pairs start the second they were introduced to each other in mid October, while another pair showed no interest what so ever until early March.

As long as they go about their buisness I don't mind. I breed mine until May then I stop.
Always looking for new friends keeping reptiles... feel free to add me on Skype or MSN Messenger!
