Breeders, how did you design your logo?
I couldn't think of what section to post this, but I figured the breeders of BP.net would be the proper people to ask.
I am no wear near having a website nor a logo, but I am curious on how to design one. I would love to eventually have enough offspring produced to keep a website up and have a logo. Did you use software of some type or have a graphics designer do it for you? I have a Mac and am going to explore some programs just to see what I can come up with. I really have no clue where to start. Thanks for posting any suggestions in advance.

Re: Breeders, how did you design your logo?
Well, I don't breed anymore, but I had a short trist breeding leopard geckos like 5 years ago, and I do graphic designing as a hobby..
The best program for logo making is Adobe Illustrator. Photoshop can be worked with as well, but I think Illustrator is better for that type of stuff as it is pretty much what it is made for.

lol I was wondering tis too and just my luck it a higher dollar program I don't have access to. but then gai N ican alway think of something.. I like the ideal of the state shape with a snake wrapped around it (or in my case the state icon in a snake pattern with some snakes around it like a recycle logo .

Was cruising deviantart for ideas and found one we really really liked. Contacted the artist and asked her if she would be willing to do it. Sure enough, she was excited to do it.

Hire someone who does it for a living. I got 6 completely different designs for my logo (one of which I chose) for $200.
It's very easy to tell the "do it yourselfers" from the pros.

Re: Breeders, how did you design your logo?
I would say hire someone professionally. It wont be that expensive, and will look a lot better. I hate to say it, but 90% of reptiles breeders have websites and logos that look like complete garbage.
