Mouse Breeding Setup and Selected Breeders (Pics)

Hey guys, I finally got around to getting my pictures. I have 4 tubs, but only 2 of them are in use right now.

^^^^This is how all of my tubs are setup. You can't see it, but on the other side there is a water dispenser going through the side of the tub.

^^^^This is a close up of the tub. I just put my hand there so that it'd be easier to tell the size of the screen I used for ventilation.

^^^^This is the inside of the black mice tub. I seperated the black and white mice from the brown and white mice, because I wanted to see what kinds of nice colors and patterns I can get out of the babies if I kept the same colors together.

^^^^This is one of the pictures of the inside of the brown mice tub. In the very back you can see how awesome the brown male is. He is a nice size, has a very light color brown, and he looks very polished

^^^^Other picture of the inside of the brown tub.

^^^^Black and white male. I love how these little guys look like they have the cow pattern.

^^^^Black and white female. I can't wait for the black and white male to get his one pregnant. The babies will be amazing.

^^^^This is the brown male. Very cute little guy, and he has jumped on ALL 3 females already in his tub.... I am expecting babies in about 21 days(give or take a couple days)

^^^^This is the brown and white female. This was the first female that the amazing male mated with. Ever since he mated with this one, he has been on a mission.

Thanks for looking guys. I feed them Mazuri brand rat and mice feed, and they seam to enjoy it. I have a salt wheel in each tub as well, along with a wheel and paper towel rolls for them to play with.

Any questions or comments are welcomed. Thanks for looking and let me know what you guys think.

    thanks man.

yeah I feel the same way. If these mice produce babies looking as cool as some of the adults I have, I will feel kinda bad using them as feeders. I guess theres no controlling it though, snakes gotta eat

Two of the mice on the right side in this picture are satin mice. That is why they are so shiny. They're not just "brown". After some googling it appears they might be reds.

You're doing a great job! Hope you get lots of babies.

lol yeah I am kind of ignorant on the specific names of these mice. I knew that they were a different "kind" of mouse, I just wasn't sure of the exact name. All I knew was they looked amazing and I want them to produce offspring that look just like them lol

Thanks for the info though. If I am going to be breeding now, I will definately have to start educating myself on the specific names, ect ect

Thanks for the encouragement! I will make sure I post pictures of the first litter for you guys to check out

Yes, those are satin mice. I think they call that color "strawberry" (at least Pet stores do). Very nice variety you got there!

    Nice looking mice!

I'm pretty sure that the satin is a recessive gene, so unless some of the other females are het for satin, the only satin babies you'll get are from the pair where both mom & dad are satin. But the satin dad will be producing lots of het for satin babies, so you'll be able to produce more of them if you want.

Yep those are satin! I love satin mice! I have blue satin, black tan satin, and black self satin. They are very cool mice.
