I might be confused here. Did the snake urinate, or poop, or did the stuff come out of the wound because it looks like a blister.
I hope your going to take this guy to the vet.

This is why I use paper towels or newsprint. It is much more hygienic and easier to clean more frequently.

judging from the pics, i doesn't look like there is any blistering or burns near the vent. I think the puffy vent was probably waste building up to be expelled (as it did once the snake was handled.) therefore, i don't think you need any ointment in the vent, unless you see some red there. As others have stated, make sure you double check the temps one more time, also, definitely try to prevent the water bowl from spilling, as they could have accelerated the condition. A vet visit is the best idea, but it looks like a burn to me as well.

I have to say, it looks like it might be blister disease to me--too much moisture in the tank?
I honestly think you should take the snake straight to a vet, and not attempt to treat this at home.

Alright,

What are you using for heating?
What is the warm side temp, the cool side temp, and the ambient?
What substrate is the BP on?
What is your humidity level?
If you use a UTH, what are you using to control it? (Rheostat, thermostat, etc.)

Like K said earlier....it looks like a burn or scale rot. I would think burn first though if you are not using something to control the UTH. I am glad you switched to newspaper or papertowels in the interim. This will help to keep it clean until the vet can look at it. Usually with an infection it will be more red and smelly. At least this is what I have read up on.
