    Pic's of set ups

I'm goin to be gettin a crested soon ( end of the month ) and I was just wondering what everyone else has thier cresteds in. Also if you use live plants what kinda are they, I have not been able to find a list, that tells me what I can use. Thank you in advance

    Cheers

I'd post a pic of mine but it's downright destroyed now (top glass cracked and the plexiglass holds horribly to silicone)... 40gal that I turned vertical. Now it is temp housing... They are arborial and terrestrial so good room to climb and walk on the ground is good. Lots of big leafed plants, lots of hiding area... Mine spend 95% of their time hidden.

As soon as possible mine get a large dresser converted to a viv with lots of room.

    Re: Pic's of set ups

My little guy is in a small Kritter Keeper with natural logs and fake plants. very shallow food and water dish and paper towel substrate.

He gets CGD changed every few days and 1/2 dozen crickets 2-3 times a month. He's only about 6 grams.

I have a 10 gallon all ready for him when he starts to show some more growth. In there I have Paper Towel substrate, thick (2" diameter) logs going across for climbing. 2 medium driftwood pieces on the ground to act as decoration as well as hiding spots, and fake plants.

My room/reptile room is between 73-76 degrees all day so I do not provide any heat for the Gecko.

When he is an adult I will probably upgrade him to a nice tall Exo-Terra enclosure.

I keep cresties in plastic tubs upgrading as they grow and until they are fully grown. (Just remember you do now want to provide an enclosure that is too big)

And I keep my breeders in this enclosure (I can keep 1.3 but for now I only have 1.1)

as for live plants the stronger the plant the better. pothos is a good vine that works well with cresteds and is really easy to grow. snake plants and bromeliads are good as long as you use the larger ones since adult cresteds like to jump on to the plants and can do some damage.

    Re: Pic's of set ups

ive got my juvie in a 15gal glass enclosure. I'll be switching him to plastic or exoterra later becuase i hate this glass thing. i dont have it on its side because its not safe with my cats around. I use paper towels for substrate that i clean 1x a month or more often if its getting kinda icky. They do poop but since its colder here hes a little slower.

i have a few things for him to climb and hide in and fake vines for him to climb on. Eventually i want to get real plants for him.
