So my brother caught 2 bull snakes in the last couple days. We put them in a cage (separately of course) and I have been thinking im going to keep them. One of them will hiss a little but overall seems like a nice enough snake and is getting used to handling. The other hisses like crazy and rattles its tail. I haven't been able to hold the second one because it seems so angry. I have read that they are usually all bluff but how true is that?
They are about 4 feet long so im assuming they are a couple years old. they seem very healthy, they stick out their tongues a lot, they are very active and their eyes are clear. I have snake experience with ball pythons and boas. I have been bit in the past by my other snakes. how bad is a bull bite?
Also I was curious if these guys will do well in tubs? thinking about going that route do to space.
Do they usually adapt to everything well and feed well after being captured?
anything I should know about these guys? I know they should be at 85 degrees, news paper works, no added humidity except for bowl, have a hide for them.
thank you for inputs
