    Re: Ginevive? Tattoo-knowledgeable people?

If the artist changes it, thent ell them that's not what you want. It's YOUR skin.
Personally I like the sketch. I'd ask the artist how it would age, but I think the other posters are correct in that you can't drop the size tons without losing the details.
I think it would make a very nice tatt, and the artist should be able to almost trace your sketch, and reproduce it in a tattoo design very easily.
If there aren't decent tattoo artists in your area, drive. It's worth the effort to get quality work when it's going to be on your skin forever.

    Hey Mindibun!

Here's something I've just rustled together real quick!

I've tried to keep as close to your original lines as poss, but thickened them up a bit & gave it more of an illustrative "feel!"

I'll have a go at a shaded version sometime if you want, but this might help you for now!?

    Chat soon,

    Steve.

Iw as thinking; this design seems like it'd lend itself well to a black and white piece. Maybe not "tribal" per se, but I like Steve's interpretation of it. I guess that you could go with a finer-line version instead as well, but it depends on the look you're going for; soft and ethereal vs. bold and striking.
