Very, very odd clutch…. Paradox Albino Pied?!

Hi, Brief intro, we are a shop from the UK and we have a large group of Royal Pythons

3 Years ago we bred a Pied 66% Het Albino x Het Pied, we considered the pied to not be het albino as he had never fathered any albinos.

She produced 3 eggs, 1 "Het" and 2 pieds

I say "het" loosely as you will see in the photo below, he is unlike any other het i have ever seen

    Pied Sibling

We bred the same pairing two years in a row to see if it was genetic and she did not produce, this year, we bred the strange "Het" back to the original Het Pied Female and she produced 7 eggs

The first egg was odd, it contained 2 babies, twins, which is always good, but one was a pied and one was a Het? as seen in the photo below, they are nothing alike, any ideas on this?

Now this is where we got really excited.. the snake looked to be a pied when it pipped which was excellent, but when it came out completely, it looked like nothing i have ever seen, the photo will speak for itself..

We are still waiting on the other 5 eggs to hatch

But in the meantime, the question i have is, thinking about the history of the parent animals, could it be purely coincidental to produce a chimera/paradox or could it be something more? (Genetic)

Any responses would be appreciated, i will keep this post updated with the hatching babies over the next few days

    Thanks

Wow. It looks like someone threw three animals in a blender and that popped out. I have read up on this quite a bit but I do not think anyone knows for sure. There are a lot of ways paradox could happen. In this case I would bet on chimera since there were also twins in the clutch.

That original het is amazing. And if I recall that paradox pied albino should be... A pied het albino. From what I understand paradoxes tend to come up in het recessives like that. There was a royally addicted episode where they talk about a "brindle" which could have only been het lavendar albino or something. Regardless great looking snakes.

on another note did that pattern of the "het" end up reproducing?

So far the pattern has not been reproduced, but only 2 out of the 7 eggs have hatched so far..

Those are some awesome productions! Grats. I would definitely continue the same pairings. That chimera is amazing. Does the chimera have two different eye colors?
Stay in peace and not pieces.
