    JCP Update (Pic Heavy)

It's been a while! I haven't posted in a few months (always feel bad for posting so many Morelia pictures to a Ball Python forum) but have been lurking. But because this was the forum that really helped me choose and get my snake, I thought I'd share a general update. That, and I really enjoy the community!!

Apologies in advance for anyone who's already seen this on other sites.

So, I've had my Jungle Carpet Python for 3 1/2 months now, and I think he's about 9 or 10 months old now? I've finally got him eating appropriately sized rats so he should be growing at a good, steady rate now. Very excited to see him as an adult but really, really enjoying him as a baby snake, too. Great eater now, and had very little trouble switching to rats.

His temperament is stellar and I've introduced him to a couple of friends who were completely unfamiliar with snakes, but interested in them. He allows himself to be pet and handled by strangers and I don't remember the last time he bit me. He falls asleep on my hand or nestled in my hair, and really likes just planting himself on my face LOL We watch TV together daily (and yes, I do keep a hand on him at all times!). All in all, a lot of fun and a fantastic pet. Now I see what everyone was talking about when they referred to their carpet python's "personality".

Some pictures I've taken over the last few weeks/months. After his first shed since I got him

Took a few selfies, too. He hangs out in my hair and gives kisses!

He likes to pretend he's a moustache

Someone recently asked about his enclosure, so I took some snapshots right before I cleaned it up. It's a little messy, so sorry about that!

    Second favorite perch

    His favorite perch/climb!

Great looking JCP! Do you mind me asking which breeder you got him from? I am considering adding either a JCP or rainbow boa to my "wanted list" and your pics are making me lean towards a JCP.

Thanks! I never thought I'd describe snakes as "cute" or "adorable" until I saw Ball Pythons and baby snakes, but that's exactly what they are

Thank you so much! He really is a tiny guy right now, and it's hard to imagine him as a 5+ ft adult.

Thank you! And no, I don't mind at all - I'm very happy with the breeder and grateful for all the help he's been. I got him from Nick Mutton at Inland Reptile. Really great guy with a good reputation. I was specific about what I wanted and he definitely delivered.

A BRB is on my list as well, and I'd really like to get one once I have some more experience. Incredibly beautiful snakes!

Thank you!! And that's a great point because I know I'm the same way! I love seeing all the pictures on the forum and yours are some of my favorites

Thanks!! Hoping so, and very excited to see how he'll turn out. But I have to say that I'm very happy with him already!
