Paul Harvey with the rest of the story...

An adult albino burmese python, that's what! Introducing Lourdes! (formally pronounced as "lor-des" while in residence with Amazon Reptile and his former 'compatriot', now pronounced "lordz" using the UK pronunciation):

Weighing in at @25lb and a hair over 9' long, Lourdes is, according to the good folks at Amazon Reptile, 4-5 years old and regularly accompanied one Alice Cooper onstage during his shows . Our cage manufacturer, Eric at Critter Condos also told us that Lourdes has been used by a locally famous stripper (who's name escapes me but I'm sure Rick will remember what he said), although unfortunately I don't have any photographic evidence links to prove it (sorry boys).

Rick and I have always been smitten with albino burms and when Amazon Reptile put a notice on Lourdes' cage in their store that he was for sale, we jumped at the chance of owning this big, lovable boy (after spending *much* time reading about husbandry, cage requirements, life expectancy, size expectancy, etc. - yes, we did our homework).

So, last Friday, Eric delivered Lourdes' monster of a cage (8' x 3' x 2'), we installed two Helix RHPs, purchased by LLLReptile in Escondido (where we bumped into Tim and had to fess up) and brought him home last Saturday.

Snake Towah of Powah! (For those keeping score at home, that's Cleo on the top left, Jenson in the 10short on the shelf middle left and Carmen on the top right):

Being that he's still snoozing this morning...

...here are some other pics of our big boy with Rick. Enjoy! =D

Oh he's gorgeous Cass! Congrats to you and Rick! How lovely that big cage is for him too...tons of room to stretch out by the look of it. It's wonderful that he's got a nice personality. That's a LOT of snake LOL.

Thanks guys! We've spent the week in awe of him, watching him slither about and still amazed that we now own a BIG YELLOW snake, lol...

It's one of the big pro's for us getting him. He is a bit cage aggressive, but it's easy to get him in and out and he's been used, obviously, on stage as well as in educational shows and we know that once out of his cage, he's a big lover boy. =D
