Re: The Story Behind MBT shoes
Since their introduction in the US in 2003, mbt sandals have experienced and huge surge in popularity and are helping millions of happy users get in shape with their simple design. Chances are, you've seen them around-they're mbt shoes with a convex curve on the sole. The story of how this incredible new footwear design came about is an interesting one.
MBT shoes were first developed by a Swiss Engineer named Karl Muller who noticed that walking barefoot over soft ground for an extended period seemed to improve his chronic back pain. His research led him to the Masai tribe of Africa whose runners were renowned as some of the fastest in the world. And their speed and strength was often attributed to training barefoot.
Muller realized that regular mbt sandals sale caused the foot to strike the ground differently compared to barefoot walking, while focusing pressure on areas of the foot that ultimately experience pain because of it. Muller soon created a shoe with a design he called Masai Barefoot Technology, or MBT Kisumu Sandals. The shoes use their trademark curve and lots of cushioning to simulate walking barefoot in sand.
Since their introduction, numerous studies have revealed just how MBT shoes work their magic. Their curved soles cause pressure to be spread throughout the foot rather than focusing it on the heels while simultaneously creating minor instability. In order to correct this instability, the body naturally employs several muscle groups to maintain balance, just as it does when walking in sand.
