Surprise clutch
I just looked in my bins and saw one of my females on eggs!! I am super surprised because I never saw a lock. I am nervous because this is my very first ever clutch. So my question is how long do I have to put them in a incubator before they go bad. I don't own a incubator, so the plan os to take the clutch to the local reptile shop, but that won't be until Monday. Will the eggs still be good?

Re: Surprise clutch
Make sure you keep the humidity up and the ambient temp up to 88 to keep the eggs from going bad until you get them in an incubator. I would get them in one ASAP.
You should have had an incubator up and running while they were being paired just in case. There's a lot of DIY ones on youtube, I started with a Styrofoam cooler as my first incubator, it was cheap and easy to set up.
Also just because you never witnessed a lock doesn't mean they didn't. That happened to me with my Burmese pythons, I didn't see a lick and all it took was a couple pairings to do the job, she was also still eating while gravid.

Just a update.... I was able to get my eggs into a incubator on Saturday. I candled all 7 of them and all were fertile...woot woot!! Hopefully the delay doesn't hurt them. The pairing was Black Pastel Ghost x Mojave Pastel. Also...waking up on Saturday morning my Pastel Axanthic x Enchi Fire 100% het Axanthic pairing dropped her first clutch, so I was able to take both to the incubator at the same time. She dropped 6 eggs and all were fertile!! Now I did know about this clutch, but she dropped her clutch a couple of days before I expected. All in all.... I am super thrilled about my first 2 clutches and hope they all hatch. I will post pics once they do!

Re: Surprise clutch
Not critisising in any way, but did you perhaps consider Maternal Incubation.

Well... as you can see from the picture there is Leopard in there...
