Hunger or stress?

When I was giving him his hopper, he was exploring and I managed to lure him on the paper. However, when he noticed the hopper and kept coming closer, the tip of his tail was wagging like a dog. Why was he doing that?
It was quite a surprise actually XD

Definitely can relate....she drove me crazy for a while trying to get her feeding. Then I could only get largish fuzzies as live feeders, instead of the hoppers she should have been on from the start. She was very resistent to f/t to start with, but has finally switched over. With that I was able to increase her prey size, and she’ll occasionally take a second prey item. I, too, have hopes that she’ll catch up with her ‘siblings’.

And yes, the streaks of mouse blood would do it...he was probably thinking, I can smell it, where is it?!

It was easy to get him on f/t, but he had fussy eating moments where he just wouldn't eat. Or he would eat, but didn't eat enough. Hopefully he reaches a better weight I hope yours does the same too!

And yeah, he probably was. Luckily I switched it out, so now he has a more clean platter to eat on
