Confused on gender of one snake
I have a female ball python who has been with me for 6 years. Ive decided to have a go at breeding recently and I wanted to double check her sex. After being shown how to properly pop and probe I’m kind of still confused. When popping her today 2 little brown thing shot out from each side of her scent glands. they smelled.
I have uploaded a few videos to YouTube to show me probing and popping her. Suggestions please? She was also probed with a very small probe long ago and the tiny probe went 6 scales deep on the left side and around 3-3.5 scales deep on the other. Using the regular sized probe today I got 4 scales on one side and 5 on the other. I used a lot of lube it slipped on quite easily.

Re: Confused on gender of one snake
If your intention is to breed the snake: Why not just add your male and see if they lock?

I think it is your 3rd thread regarding sexing I will give you the same advice again
Find someone knowledgeable and proficient to teach you how to pop and prob, it does take practise especially with larger animals as they gain a better control however it is achievable.
A video sadly does not teach people nor make them realize how much pressure is really needed especially on a larger individual.

She was probed by a breeder. She’s not.

i dunno. sounds like u still are finding it difficult to probe and pop. i think there are a few choices here. some are: 1) find a reputable breeder or vet to properly pop and prob for ya; 2) go ahead and introduce your male in an attempt to breed and u will find out soon enough.
