Re: Solana - Our Scaleless Sunglow Motley Corn
Solana shed this past week, but it wasn't a great shed. I had to put her in a moist holding container with a paper towel and some coco substrate. I also had to help encourage her a little.
Everything came off, but especially in the winter, I am going with two bowels and a moist hide when she's going to shed from now on. I cannot figure it out, as it seems to vary shed to shed even if conditions are similar.
Anyway, no harm done, she ate like a champ a day or two later, and is a solid 225G today, totally dry.
I would install the misting system I am installing for the other snakes (and have for the Rhacodactylus), but too much humidity isn't great either for corns and I am not sure how that would work with a scaleless corn.
She's looking great and is a dream to handle. Of course today, when I went to take her out, so I could clean her tank, she was a wiggle worm. Not sure what her deal was today, but Yafe, the Carpet Python, was the same way. Weather pattern?

Such an amazing colour dave, it's annoying when they have band sheds especially when nothing different has been done compared to the last perfect one isn't it

235G and counting. Love her demeanor and wow does she "pop" in person. Her colors are so rich and I do not think the camera does her justice.

265G and counting. Solana is on adult mice now.
Such a sweet and calm girl too.
She's looking a little dull (hard to believe) and may shed soon.

She's still a fantastic colour, doesn't seem 5mins since she was that little bright orange worm.
I always think it's strange with most colubrids how they have not got the big defined heads like boas, even worse with sand boas, lol

Re: Solana - Our Scaleless Sunglow Motley Corn
Solana just had her second adult mouse yesterday. NO ISSUES. WOW is she growing up. I remember when a pinkie was a big meal for her!
Not that you would notice as she was window washing tonight looking for more!
