^^^^^ refusing to properly regulate heat sources because your snake has made it this far and you know best sure sounds like an ego to me. Spend the 20 bucks and put something to regulate the temp on that UTH as stated in this thread all it takes is for you to be out one day and that UTH shoots up to 120+ and your noodle is toast.

Alright everyone. Apparently everyone took my post about not needing at tstat for my bp wrong. Everyone just needs to chill. Theres no ego. All I've done on this forum is ask questions and post about how well things are going. I'm not some kid. I've owned plenty of animals in the past from dogs to chameleons, geckos, bearded dragons, fish... I apologize if my post came across as me having an "ego", but I dont appreciate people trying to jump all over me making it seem like I'm neglecting or refusing to keep proper husbandry on my bp. Admin can we just lock this post up please?
Again thanks everyone for your advice and info.

I don't think admins are going to shut it down right now, because you really do need a thermostat. No egos or anything aside, it's just a required piece of equipment in snake keeping in particular, since their temp requirements are relatively low compared to other species. =) It's kind of like getting hay if you want to own a rabbit LOL.
You are obviously trying your best to have the best setup possible. Just need to look more into it that thermostats are part of snake keeping!

New tank.
The best way to learn is to keep an open mind, ask questions and listen the the answers.
I’ve been keeping ball pythons for 3 years. I currently have 11 adults and 2 juveniles.
I constantly monitor the thermostats and temperatures utilizing a herpstat dimmer thermostat with steel probes and an infrared laser thermometer.
That’s about all I do besides run a humidifier, change the water bowl, clean up the litter and toss them some rats.
