Feeding Problems
My BP hasnt ate in awhile. It doesn't look like he's losing weight. Could he be bermating? I dont see how though his temps and humidity and everything is fine. He has hides on both sides. The room hes in isnt very active I'm the only one thats ever in here. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Re: Feeding Problems
ball pythons tend to go off eatin durin winter/breeding months, some even go off eatin for up to a year and there have also been 2 cases where a ball python has gone off eatin for 22 months straight . . . if he/she was a baby or he/she was losing weight then i would be worried, i suggest you get a scale and weigh him or her before everytime you offer food, that way you can tell if there is any weight bein lost . . . i had a breeder male who didnt eat from november 12th - (march 2nd)two days ago . . . there are a couple others males and females around the same age as urs who havent eaten in over a month . . . i keep offerin food on the scheduled days (babies every 5-7 days 2 years and up every 7-10days), there might be other reasons he/she isnt eating but if you said the temps and humidty and enclosure are all what they should be then maybe check for mites, could be ready for a shed . . . good luck and keep us posted!!
Cheers!

Re: Feeding Problems
Get a scale to measure his weight just to be sure . If he is maintaining weight, there is nothing to worry about.
