1st lock until eggs is extremely variable. It's not quite like humans where the actual act of breeding triggers the development cycle.
Females go through a 4 shed process where the final shed is the prelay shed. Anywhere a few months prior to that first shed up until shortly after the 3rd shed if the female locks with a male successfully you can get viable eggs......so after the first lock could be 7 months until eggs or after the first lock could be 2 months before eggs.....all depends on what development shed cycle the female is in
