    A Domesticated Female Ball Python

Okay, so some time I have to actually take pictures of this, but I had to share. On my weekday days off, I spend the morning making my mother coffee and breakfast in bed, and watch Martha Stewart and The View together. It's nice to have female bonding before we do laundry, clean, and bake cookies.

Anyhoo, Regan, my newest addition has shown some great promise of being another Ophi in temperament. Ophelia, my eldest female, is as close to an "affectionate" snake as I've ever experienced, and Regan's really turning out a lot like her. So, while having my cup of tea(I quit smoking and, reluctantly, I quit drinking coffee) I brought her out. She was content to lay there, in my arms, and watch the entire hour of Martha Stewart. There were for a few times where she went exploring on the bed, but for the most part, she stayed near me. I'm sure she was just coming back to the warmth of my body and my blanket, but it was nice.
-Grins.- I just thought it kind of cute that it was Martha Stewart we were watching.

Great Meli, you have this heart warming story to tell, meanwhile, my latest addtition, the Cinnamon boy, wants to eat my face off and thinks he's part rattlesnake. You really know how to stick it to a guy

Glad you're having fun with your new girl.

Aww. If he's such a trouble-maker, I'll take him off your hands. -Grins.-

I snuggle with my snakes too, mostly at night while I'm reading, my two older BPs curl up beside my legs. My male will hang out for hours, but my oldest female likes to roam around and explore after awhile.
    Cute story. Thanks for sharing.

Is it weird that I kind of want to have at least one snake that puts on a nice show of defense? A hisser and puffer would be such a delight!

Regan was like that the first week I got her. Duh? She tried to bite me in front of Adam when I popped open her box. That was my fault. I was impatient. O_o Then she struck at Nick when He was walking past her.

Hadrian...oh Hadrian. He used to strike at my butt every single time I walked past his enclosure. O_o He was definitely a butt man. ^_^

Tonight I'm cleaning tubs and she's coming over to help. I think I'm gonna' pull him out real quick, taking a few hits along the way, and just turn around and plop him in her hands. Should be a hoot!
