That is indeed part of the shed cycle. I call it grey, some people call it blue... I guess its just your call. Make sure the humidity is up in your snakes enclosure and leave it alone.

Re: Can you confirm this is shed - stage II?

Thank you . About humidity this seems to be an issue... usual humidity is 48% there... (let's say 46-50). However por last few days every evening when I got back from work is humidity 40% . So I have followed advice #21.

    21. How can I increase and maintain higher humidity?

One simple way is to move the water bowl over the heating pad. Another simple method is to use a spray bottle, but monitor the bedding so that it does not mold or become too wet and cause belly rot. If possible try avoiding heat lamps and ceramic heaters, as these suck the moisture from the air. Covering a screen top with plastic wrap, Plexiglas, or clear contact paper also works well to trap humidity. (Do allow some open space for air circulation if you choose to cover a screen top.)
...but still it's not enough... max I can got is 50%... so I have bought small waterfall from Exo-Terra and running it during a day... I hope that will help a bit. If not I just do not know what to do next

Re: Can you confirm this is shed - stage II?

I live in Colorado, so it's pretty dry here most of the time. When my bp is in shed I take a spray bottle and spray the enclosure. I use terracotta pots for hides, so I'll often just give the outside of each hide a spray or two (that way the substrate isn't wet). It seems to help quite a bit.

i bought a waterfall and run it 24/7, that combined with aspen and using aluminum foil to cover my screen the Humidity is always 60-65% for me Check it out here http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=84951

Sometimes, i maybe have the give the aspen a light light misting. but not usually.

So... after few days I can confirm that waterfall has helped a lot. Humidity is now average 60-65%. Today's picture. I hope shed start soon. Can't wait... the first shed!

For me I added moss to my enclosure. I maintain a perfect 66% humidity at all times by spraying it with water once a day
