    are sumatran tamer then others?

    Im woundering if the sumatran STP are tamer then the borneo, or blood?

    i think it is an individual thing. you can have snappy ones from all the blood speices and you can have nice ones. depends on the snake.

    According to redpythons.net SSTs tend to be the most docile, followed by Borneos, followed by blood pythons. But as each individual is different I'm sure you can find nippy SSTs.

    As far as I know, SSTP are supposed to be the most docile.

    As said before, followed by Borneo's, with the worst being the Red Blood, Python Brongersmai.There are also different localities within each sub-species which can have variable temperaments, e.g. Bangka Bloods.

    But these are animals with basic survival instincts at heart, and you'd better be prepared for a wide array of temperaments.

    If youre deciding on whether or not to get one, get one from a reputable breeder.

    Then you can ask as many questions as you need, to get the animal you are looking for.

    well I have a sumatran stp hes a puppy dog, and I talked to kara from bloodpythons, and now Im getting a red blood that acording to her is still a bit nippy but will turn out like her parents with easy going temper, so i guess Im about to find out,

    I think she'll be better than what you're expecting. My babies are handled on a regular basis, so it shouldn't be long before the two of you get along just fine.
