The G-1 is a nice phone if you have the data plan with it, its where it really shines. Its a business enabler equally suited for personal use.

Because of my IT background I elected not to get this phone for several reasons (with tmobile).

1. Not a big fan of a single point of failure (touch screen). You can only do so much with the built in qwerty pad.

2. Not a big fan of having my data sitting out on googles bananna servers on the internet. Put it like this, your data is colocated if you use the data services.

3. The form factor could have been a bit more friendly.

4. I know a few who have picked this phone up and after a month or so, swapped out the sim into their other cells.

Overall, the phone is OK, but falls short as a PIM when managing "my" data.
