    Question new hide question ??

ok so my BP recently has grown outta her old hide - i think.. well she stopped using it completly and would just lay behind it day or night- so i grabed an old plastic bowl washed it n cut a hole in the side and placed it on the cool side.. its been in there a week now n she hasnt used it yet, she just crams herself in behind it like she would with the old hide ... so my question is how long should it take for a BP to start using a new hide ?... did i do anything wrong ??

Given that I'm sure you've double checked your husbandry, she's probably just more comfy cramming into the tightest spot she can find. Have you tried sticking the old hide in there with the new one to see if she will try the old one again?

she either feels more secure cramming her self in a corner. or inside the hide is too hot/cool.

My one snake also prefers to cram himself in between the hide and the wall.

This might sound nuts but sometimes I've had bp's that just don't "get" the new hide. I just direct their head towards the entrance, they slither in and bingo - they check out the new digs and generally like it.
