Talking new reptile shop in my area....

its called so cal reptiles. I stopped by to pick up some feeders from petco and saw their shop so i went there instead. The animals they had were nice, knowledgeable staff, clean cages, good prices on dry goods, animals and feeders. By the looks of it they gained the store from a shop out of their house. They had a Bunch of eggs in the incubators, and they had some cages with adult bps in it labeled "breeding" and had 2 snakes in them (the only one with more than one in it). So from the looks of it they breed most of their own stuff. One thing i thought was cool was if you game them $1 they would feed certain animals (monitors, bigger snakes, ect). Looked like an all around good shop. And its the first in our area. YAY!!

If you give me a $1 I'll feed my pets too lol! Hopefully the store can stay afloat because I like small stores.
    Too many pets to list!

there was a shop in houston that would let you feed large rats(F/T) to their caiman for $2 or so, I thought it was a great way to entertain customers and keep the feeding bills down for an animal that eats quite more than a ball python.

Re: new reptile shop in my area....

For a relatively small town, Jacksonville Florida seems to have it all!

Within 10 miles from my house:
    1. There is PetCo, PetSmart, Pet Supermarket, and Pet Supplies. Except for Pet Supplies, all sell reptiles and reptile supplies.
    2. There is Blazing Reptiles which is a family-owned reptile and exotic pets store which is well laid out and clean (unlike all the other reptile stores I've been to). And then there's House of Reptiles which is dark and gloomy and not too clean but they have this huge tortoise walking around the place and you can feed their lizards and snakes for a buck. There's another reptile store somewhere east but I haven't been there and I can't remember the name.
    3. There are 2 Humane Society Animal Shelters - one burned down but I think they kept it open.
    4. There are 4 dog groomers not counting the big stores that I know of. I'm sure there are more that I don't know of.
    5. There are 2 dog and cat specialty stores.
    6. There's a Farm and Feed Supply Store that sells Mazuri rodent blocks.

    And within 20 miles:
    1. Mike Cavanaugh who supplies ASF.
    2. Dr. Rossi - the magnificent reptile vet.

Seems like Jacksonville has everything a reptile enthusiast needs.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Ah ok. I'm in Tierrasanta, so Temecula's about 30-40 minutes away from me lol . I drive up to Poway every day though to clean out horse stalls in exchange for a free horse lease, so I guess one day I could try to find this new shop before I head home
