Lumping?
Hi this is my first post here and also my first season breeding ball pythons. My pastel male has been with my normal female off and on since the beginning of October and have locked up on numerous occasions. Yesterday, a day after having separated the pair, I noticed that my female looked a bit strange:
<a href="http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=110573810&albumID=2055183&imageID=326912 06"><img src="http://hotlink.myspacecdn.com/images02/49/c9ef339293634dcc888903edf248b34b/m.jpg" alt="Is my snake pregnant?" /></a>
Could this be what is called lumping? Also strange, a day after taking this picture, I peeked in on her again to see her in the strike position following any movement. A sure sign of hunger, but she hadn't eaten since November! So I dropped in a rat, and sure enough she took it. Should I continue introducing the male? I'm going to continue offering her food on a weekly basis, like I have been. My fingers are crossed that this is a good sign.
