    Ingot and Mj

Saturday is the day we disinfect the cages and feed the snakes so I took the opportunity to get some pic’s.
Ingot is done with quarantine and the Vet said he is fine. Clean poop and all. He seems to me to be growing incredibly fast, I think he may turn out to be a pretty large boy. We feed him a 30 gm pup and he was still cruzing around the enclosure looking for more. I think I need to step up to the next size rat for him.
I am not happy with the place I was getting my rats from, so I went on line and ordered a variety of sizes of rats for the freezer from Rodent Pro. I am planning on vacuum sealing them when they arrive so hopefully they will last longer in the freezer.
The young man in the pictures is Cody. He is my co-workers son. He really enjoys the snakes, can you tell?

    Re: Ingot and Mj

Hi, both the snakes look great. I especially like the lesser. It looks to me like they could both eat larger than rat pups. The rat should be about the same thickness as the thickest part of the snake, maybe a little larger. You should see a small lump after they have eaten. Oh, and good luck with producing a lesser bees.

    Whoohoo69
Mj definitely eats more than 30 gm pups. Saturday she had a small rat 51 gm and a 28gm pup to make a total of 79 gm’s.
Ingot on the other hand is growing so fast that I didn’t realize that I underfeed him with a 30 gm pup. I have weaners that are a little bigger than the pups on order for him. They should be here next week, along with some larger smalls for Mj.
