I've always been in love with Ancient Egypt, as well as other ancient civilizations on a smaller scale So all of my snakes initially started out with Gods and Goddesses from the Egyptian pantheon, and I've kind of mixed in a few Greeks as well.

my other snake and mice are named after battlestar galactica characters.

I've got two girls here I haven't named yet, and another big girl who's not going to be a permanent resident that hasn't been named. And I have three coming with no names yet.

My big pinstripe girl is named Penelope (I pronounce it "Pin"elope), my spider girl is Itsy (obvious, hehe), and my mojave male is Goober, because he ate his first F/T rat pup backwards

My 1st bp is named after a botched heirloom tomato label.

My sister's husband is a farmer and one year they grew some heirloom tomatoes. One of the types was supposed to be labeled Mr. Stripey. Instead the label at the market was Mr. Stippey.

Loved the name, so I kept it for him.

My JCP is called Monty for no reason (NOT Monty Python).

My normal BP is named Caesar, because BPs are called Royal Pythons because legend has it that Cleopatra wore them around her arms, and Caesar and Cleopatra had a thing going on.

My albino BP is named Apollo, because he is the god of the sun, and my Albino has bright yellows on him.
