Woma
Hey, I'm talking to a guy who has a Mojave and a Woma male available.
I have a good understanding of Mojave's genetic wise, and what can be created with them, but not so much about Womas.
I do understand Super Woma's aren't possible, but what about such things as Pastel Woma's, and others. Which would you find has more possibilities with, a Mojave, or the Woma?

Re: Woma
That is a hard one to say.
The Mojave has a super form and mixes with other snakes to make blue eyed lucy's as well. On the same note that means you will never notice crossing it with a lesser, butter,... Pastel Mojaves look cool though. The Mojave is a pattern and color morph so it affects a large part of the genetics of a ball python already and may dilute other morphs you breed it with.
The Woma will cross into anything so far with a different result with each. Woma is pretty much a pattern only morph which means breeding it with color morphs will tend to cause a morph that should show both traits brought into play in a pronounced way. Womas on the other hand do not seem to carry the popularity like a mojave though.

Re: Woma
Well i have a woma and a mojave so i guess its hard to say both animals bring a little something different to the ball.
I do like the mojave but i did pick up a butter this year too. As for the woma i really like the things it does as far as the hidden gene of nerd goes. Soul suckers are sweet and you need a woma to make them along with a lesser. So Hmm i would say get what you want its kind of a toss up. Your friends will notice that mojave alot faster than the woma the woma isn't a whole lot to look at its more of an adder morph than a visual. But ask brad boa he told me nice normal when he first saw my mojave as a joke so maybe im way off base with which one is more visable of a morph than the other.

Re: Woma
Thanks, well at the moment I don't have the money to go about buying a Lesser or Butter to breed with a Woma, but I do like the look of that Woma Pastel. I think I may go with the Mojave as it has more value and I am acquiring either of these via a trade. I guess it will come down to when I go to see them.

Re: Woma
as far as I know, no pearl(super woma) has survived for very long, but I'd love to see it done!
Personally I'd get a woma, but that's just me.

Re: Woma
Yeah those Pearls are all said to die, so I don't know if I'd want to put in a bunch of money and effort to create a bunch of snakes that just won't be able to survive. If they did survive well then that'd be awesome, but I don't want to be responsible for a bunch of dead snakes.

YEah I agree with you on that. It's just too bad because the pearls look awesome.

Re: Woma
The Pearl issue aside, I think the Woma is a morph that will gain in popularity as more combos come to light. Even though I think Womas are beautiful in their own right, some of the possible combos are going to be amazing when the projects start coming out. I'm personally talking to a few people about an Axanthic Woma project that I'd like to see.
A minor point, but for the small minority of folks who won't own a Spider because of the wobble issue, a Woma would be a good alternative.

Re: Woma
I have a Mojave and am going to get a Woma. But then again I like a lot of morphs. Go figure.
