No night drop needed. Makes it easy doesn't it?

Ball pythons naturally live in termite mounds which do a very good job of keeping a stable temp.

No night drops needed. Why make it more difficult then it needs to be?

    Re: night time heating

let me know if this is ok at night i have the hot side around 85 with a basking spot around 90 and the cool side around 80

during the day i try to manage the warm side around 90 with a basking around 95 with a cool side about 85

    Re: night time heating

"Ball pythons thrive at ambient temperatures of 80-85*F during the day and will tolerate 78-80*F at night. Additionally ball pythons will utilize a basking area of 88-95*F, which should cover one-quarter to one-third of the enclosure" --Source: Ball Pythons in Captivity by Kevin McCurley; p. 12

I don't think anyone else here would have more experience with these critters than that man....
