    Ball pythons meeting each other...

I have a few questions about this. I've always only had one ball python (for about just a year and a half now) and I'm still learning and extra cautious about eeeverything. So anyway, I'm getting a granite ball, a little boy, on monday (that's when he should arrive in the mail.)

Of COURSE he will be QTed and of course he will have his own home.

I have seen pictures of ball pythons sitting together or resting on eachother for photo shoots and stuff, so this is what I'm asking about.

Does that mean it's ok to hold both of them at the same time? If so, for how long?

And do you think my female BP who is older and bigger than the male be aggressive to meeting him? She hasn't seen another snake in who knows how long. Do snakes care?

Kind of simple/stupid questions but I figured I should ask anyway. Better safe than sorry.

    Thank you~

They don't care for the most part. Just don't house them together

You can hold them at the same time. The normally will be fine. As long as they are not housed together, there should be no issue. Of course, QT first.

Hey not asking a question that might impact on your snake's wellbeing is the only "stupid" thing I can think of so never hesitate to ask, okay. Very glad you are going to do a good quarantine routine - that's always best.

We often have numerous snakes out at the same time. Lots of family members - MANY snakes LOL. From what I've seen most of the time they basically ignore each other, slithering around or over each other without much notice at all. I've seen some of them freeze until the other snake moves away from them. I've never seen any real sign of aggression between them when out for handling. Just watch when you have two snakes out at the same time. Ball pythons may seem like lazy, slow snakes but they can book it when they want and trying to pull a snake back out of the guts of your couch is NOT fun (been there, done that )

haha yeah don't worry at all! I have a female and a male that I take out every single day as soon as I get home. I usually just let them out on my bed, and they will go either follow each other and hide under my pillow or split up. They have never once seemed to dislike the others company.

As long as you have done QT, it should be perfectly fine to have them out together.

Unless they're breeding they don't notice each other.

I have a pair of Albino balls in QT right now. As soon as they get out ill introduce them to my Mojaves and Yellowbellies. I let my snakes have a meet and greet every couple of weeks so they get to know eachother. And they explore my basement floor or i give them somthing to climb on for pictures.
I just keep the males seperate from other males. I try to put the snakes together that i want to pair up in the future. Its snake dating.
